Probably the most common way of installing CCTV is using RG59 Coax and power cable. Depending on the installation size, you would need to cut the cable to the lengths you need for each camera. At either end of your cut to length cable, you would need to fit a BNC connector to the coax cable – this can be a crimp on connector. This is the most secure connection but you would need a crimping tool to be able to complete this. Advantages to this connector means the connections will be very strong and look a lot tidier than using electrical tape.
